The design of this amazing installation was based on geometric patterns wrought into the arabesque forms of 16th-century Spanish Renaissance architecture. The orderly 3,275-square-foot design responds wonderfully to the various spaces and structures. Its mathematical precision and intricacy prove a harmonious balance of art and science. Energy is focused on the dynamic geometric patterns, creating a clear hierarchy of spaces in contrast with the more subdued areas and demonstrating the strategic use of resources for maximum impact. Bands of color reinforce the delineation of spaces where walls are movable, and the floor pattern is reflected and enhanced by the intricate woodwork on the ceiling.
