This unique public art project is a literal and to-scale topographical map of Colorado on the museum’s lobby floor. Its medium is epoxy resin with a multitude of formulated terrazzo aggregates and recycled glass mixes in a 14- color palette. The map consists of 266 individually designed panels, each poured by the artist off-site, without divider strips and with perfect registration. This terrazzo-by-number process puts terrazzo in the artist’s hands for any design conceivable.
