The terrazzo floor installed in this renovated hotel lobby incorporates modern fiber optic light technology. Three striking starburst patterns, reflected by light fixtures overhead, accent the space within a simple color palette. The fiber optic lighting is precisely placed to illuminate 83 points on the starburst design. The electrical conduit was embedded in the concrete substrate then overlaid with epoxy fill material. Floor-to-ceiling brass rods were also set in the terrazzo, with a brass receiver mounted in the floor.
