Extending a warm greeting to visitors to the region, this eye-catching floor is an invitation to interact with the design elements of the center’s water-and-wine theme. The creativity and complexity of this three-color installation demonstrates the versatility of terrazzo. Reminiscent of a grapevine winding through the wood-grained tile, the curved path enters from the sidewalk outdoors and pours into the map. The intricately detailed map identifies local landmarks and wine trails in brass, accented by one-eighth-inch brass strips, glass, mother-of-pearl, marble, and mirror aggregate.
