Cost Factors |
The following factors affect the price of Terrazzo
installations. It is, however, recommended that
a reliable local contractor be consulted for exact
figures. See the list of NTMA’s
Contractors and Suppliers.
Factors causing slight to moderate increased costs: |
- Use of chips
larger than #1 and #2, for instance in Venetian
Terrazzo
- Palladiana
- Intricate or complex divider strip
layout.
- Use of overly complicated formula.
- Use of larger
proportions of relatively rare and therefore
expensive marble chips.
- Use of extremely hard
chips such as granite and quartz; adding to
grinding costs.
- Use of chips not locally available;
adding to freight costs.
- Use of color pigments
in matrix, which is usually only a slight cost
increase.
